Generous portions for cozy, home-style dumplings. If you don't want to wait in line forever at Dough Zone or pay exorbitant Dough Zone prices, head here! Also a great option if seafood isn't your favourite. There are super delicious lamb dumplings, which is a rare treat when so many restaurants skew to Southern Chinese cuisines. Pretty slow at lunch on a weekday, so food came very quickly and the atmosphere was nice.

Dumplings were great! Ambience was very nice and bathrooms are surprisingly clean! We ordered the shrimp noodle, green onion pancake, and the chicken dumplings! Compliments to the owner and chef!

You moved to Seattle for work, leaving the comfort of family behind to seek your fortune. You miss the connection that having a meal with relatives provides, a warm place where you can be yourself and accepted for who you are...except for that one grandma who didn't coddle you and also didn't have time for your bullshit. Oh, she'd feed you and keep you relatively safe but you could expect to hear her comment on the extra weight you put on or your stupid haircut while she served dinner. But dinner was always amazing and you knew that despite the commentary that she loves you and would do anything for you. I hadn't felt this way since my grandma passed decades ago, until I walked into Ping's. She's often by herself in there and works her rear off, cooking, taking orders, cashier...you've entered her domain and just like grandma (Wanda or Ethel or whatever your gram's name was) she's got no time and little patience for your sensitive Seattleite crap, she just wants to feed you. Food is great, dumplings are perfect and taste better and a little more 'real' than those of her close neighbor Dough Zone (I love them too). I'm sure lots of her reviews talk in depth about the food, so I will skip that part. Soup dumplings and onion pancake are go-to's though. If you want a relaxed, cozy place to have a great meal that feels like you are sitting at the table in your grandma's house, try it out.

Yes Yes Yes! Just go. The pork soup dumplings, the chicken potstickers, and the veggie chow mein were done to perfection. The prices were reasonable and the food was incredible. I would eat here all the time if I lived in Seattle.
